Welcome to your new magical home.

The WSTS Student Union is a magical family like no other.  We now have two Sims on SecondLife.com.  Xevious Castle, complete with dorm rooms, classrooms, common areas, private ritual space, and much, much more, hosts the school's private events and classes.  Sacred Cauldron, set up like a 24/7 pagan festival, is a forest of sacred scenery, with a never-ending schedule of Pagan rituals, classes, and events for the public.  The Student Union is a perfect place for those seeking social interaction with magical brothers and sisters.

Students are encouraged to set their home to the dorm room and live right there with us, in the South Tower.  Faculty usually logs in around 8 am every morning, and are there most days all day long.  Join us in Secondlife.com, and find your way home.

To join us "In-world", follow these steps.

1.  Go to http://www.Secondlife.com and register for your account.

2.  Get Age Verified, by going to "My Account" and clicking on the "Age Verification" button in the left margin.

3.  Download the Secondlife Viewer or the Emerald SL Viewer (to find the Emerald SL Viewer, search for it on google)

4.  Open your Viewer and log in to Secondlife.

5.  In the upper left corner of your screen find and click on "Edit/Preferences".  Under General tab, set your rating to PG, Mature and Adult

6,  If using Emerald Viewer (skip this step if using standard SL Viewer) In this same box, look at the tabs on the left, all the way at the bottom, if you have Emerald, choose the Emerald Tab.  Then choose the IM tab across the top of the box, and in the right column all the way at the bottom choose "Vertical IM tabs"  This requires restart.

7.  Click the X in the upper right corner of your screen and quit.

8.  Reopen your viewer and relog into Secondlife.

9.  Open your Communicate Box.  ALWAYS DO THIS UPON ENTERING SECONDLIFE.  This way when we talk to you, you will know it, and you can talk back.

10.  Look in the middle bottom of your screen and find your Search button.  Across the top find PEOPLE, and enter "Brenna Ross".  Send Brenna a Friend Request telling her your Real Name, and "Student Union", so she will know you are entering Student Union. (Brenna is your Secondlife lifeline, any questions, needs, or concerns about secondlife, ask Brenna)

11.  If for some reason Brenna isn't on, repeat the above procedure with Belladonna Yarrowroot, Stacia Abonwood,  Jackalope Farspire or Leraje Xevious.

12.  Click ok to be teleported to Duffield, and be received by your Host/ess.

13. To stop the typing animation:  Click the 'Edit/Preferences". Click on the 'Text' tab on the left hand side. The second to last check-able box on the screen is called 'Play typing animations' Make sure this is Unchecked.

SecondLife.com  Orientations are held the third Friday of every month, for those of you who need help with the interface.  Please register (under Admissions Tab) and have the above steps completed before Orientation starts.  However, you may enter secondlife anytime you wish.  It is a public cyberspace that is free to use.  Please note, there are security measures on the land that require age verification, and real-life names.  Please recognize that security is required for many reasons, and be patient with the process.

Also, this is a college.  It's not a game.  The interface may feel game like, and that is for your enjoyment.  But, this is real education for REAL LIFE ministry.  We are not teaching you how to be a cyberwitch.  Our students are expected to engage in real life to graduate these courses.

Learning to negotiate secondlife is both fun and challenging.  The magic there is tangible and well worth the effort.  Be patient with yourself, and know, we'll be patient with you too.  We can't wait to birth you.  What are you waiting for?  We're probably there right now.
