Initiation Opportunities Through WSTS

Traditionally in Wicca, students receive initiatory degrees as they progress toward becoming full clergy members in a coven.

While Woolston-Steen does not directly offer initiatory paths or degrees, we do partner with the Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC) so that our students can pursue initiatory work at the same time as their seminary work.

Many of the ATC covens and third-degree clergy require their students to attend WSTS for their academic training. At the same time, these students receive personal, one-on-one training from their High Priest/ess/x. This is a more intense training and much more personal than the academic degree system alone.

WSTS does not offer initiation/elevations, that is done through the student's personal, initiatory High Priestess/ess/x. All ATC initiations are done in-person, not online.

We as Wiccans absolutely believe that initiating online would degrade the potency of the position, the respect the community has for our clergy, and the impact of the mysteries gleaned from those holy rites.

WSTS welcomes students who wish to pursue either just the academic degrees or both academic and initiatory degrees.
